Week 28 - August 20

Greetings from the Mile High City,

What a fun week it has been for me once again. Just can't simply keep up with all the festivities happening around in this great city. Just a recap of my week began at Red Rocks amphitheatre where I saw this cool U2 tribute band. It totally rocked! Saw a couple get married infront of 1000+ people, was quite hilarious actually, then the night ended with a screening of movie "The Wedding Crashers". Nothing better than watching a cool flick in an outdoor amphitheatre to a backdrop of the mountains!
After a pretty exhausting and mentally challenging work week, I had to "de-stress" at a local English pub called British Bulldog. Refuelled myself on a few shandys and an old fashioned pub meal, then it was off to the Bluebird Theatre for some live music by the Detroit Cobras. Was rather surprised that the lead singer could still remember all the words to the songs while being heavily intoxicated.
Of course I had to finish my week on a physical high by racing in a 10km trail run race up in Evergreen. The course itself was relatively easy, with numerous hills and tons of rocks to maneuvre through, but 15 mins into the run, I had an extremely annoying stitch to my right side that would not go away, so I was left feeling rather miserable during the rest of the run, but nonetheless, I still made it through the finish line. Hopefully with a few more races coming up, I will not make the mistake of consuming too much pre-race food/drink into my body.
