Week 3 - Feb 26

I've finally made it through this roller-coaster of a week. Work at the downtown office is great. Everyone is quite friendly and very relaxed. I'm just trying to get my ahead around how the dept actually functions as there doesn't seem to be many processes, procedures and standard documentations around.......

The Health Science Center is situated in a building that used to be a hospital, so it's quite bland and very unappealing. I have begun supporting staff within the School of Nursing and Medicine with Blackboard and Respondus and recently met up with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs in Nursing to discuss the school's vision in terms of online and teaching. As it happened, the meeting finished late (just after 5 pm), and when I went back to my office, everyone had left and locked the door, of which my keys, phone, bag and jacket were in there. To shorten the story, it took 5 people and 1 1/2 hrs to finally find the correct key. So let this be a lesson for me - don't stay back late, or at least carry your office keys at all times!

Lucky for me, I finished the week on a high by purchasing a used car. It runs extremely well for a 14 yr old car and the interior is still in perfect condition. Hopefully now I'll be able to zip around and explore outside of Denver.
